We are very thankful for our military and their services to our great country.

The Illinois Army National Guard was originally formed in 1712 as a colonial French militia. The militia worked under British sovereignty in the mid-eighteenth century until theAmerican Revolutionary War when in 1779 George Rogers Clark with 200 Illinois militiamen from Kaskaskia captured Fort Sackville from British Colonel Henry Hamilton and his Regulars. Regiments of Illinois militia later captured Prairie du Chien. Following the American Civil War, the state forces were reorganized under the command of Arthur C. Ducat, who became the first major general of the statewide Illinois militia.

It's a word that most of us take for granted, and as motorcycle enthusiasts, we like to exercise it to the fullest. Unfortunately, these freedoms have to be paid for by the sweat, blood and sometimes life itself, of a certain group of individuals.  These people are known as Veterans.  In the history of our country, there has never been a shortage of young men and women ready to leave their homes and families to bear arms when needed.  Sadly, our government never seems to have enough resources to be able to take care of those who have unselfishly taken care of our way of life, our freedom.  Our sole purpose is to help our fellow Veterans in need where our government falls short. We all have a choice to help - we chose to do it on motorcycles!

Illinois Department of Veterans Affair

Welcome to the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs, a state agency dedicated to empowering veterans, as well as their dependents and survivors, to thrive.  We do this by helping veterans navigate the complex veteran support system and assisting them in obtaining benefits; by providing long term health care for eligible veterans at our four Veterans’ Homes; and by working with other government agencies and non-profits to help veterans address education, mental health, housing, employment, and other challenges.
